Each presentation was amazing. I learned many new features from my team. I might use some of them in my future classes. I like learning something new from others because each of us has a different expectations and world view.
I believe the reading platform can be helpful for students who wants to read more and for students who do not like to read. Also, it will help teacher to get themselves ready for the discussion in the class, especially it can be useful for teachers at the beginning of their career.
Pear Desk is interesting and help to set up a visual learning and build a community, and it might be right decision to pay for a good platform. However, it is a plenty of technology to use that is free of charge. I think anyone can find their preferable technology to use in the classroom environment.
The Lyricstraining is cool. Everyone loves listening the music, and so many people start to learn English, including myself, to understand the meaning of their favorite song. It is a great tool that some words can be taking from the lyrics and focus on specific verbs or structure for grammar practice. When I was a student in one of my classes, teacher use a song with lyrics to explain the past verb tense. It was the best classroom activity that I still remember.
Quizizz was fun to play. Big thank you to Meilin that she created interesting questions and gave us a chance to be creative as well. I have never heard about such an interesting website. It reminds me Kahoot, but I think Quizizz is more entertaining. Each question was with image that can help to develop not only being attentive to details but gives a hint to the right answer.
I would like to say thank you to everyone for an unforgettable class and outstanding experience that made me think about multicultural diverse students' population that I will face in ESL classroom. Engaging with all activities is one of way to build a trustful and welcoming community.
It's fun to get an idea of who our future students will be. I also appreciate experiencing this things as a student myself so I know how stressed my students may be using the tool in the future.
